Gaojing Launches "35kV-8000kVA Class 1 Energy Efficiency Amorphous Alloy Tridimensional Toroidal Core Transformer" to Accelerate Low-Carbon Transition of Electrified Railways
Share:
Hebei Gaojing Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd.'s innovatively developed amorphous alloy tridimensional toroidal core on-load tap-changing power transformer, model "SZH25-RL-8000/35-NX1", has successfully completed its first commissioning and grid-connected operation at Hami East Railway Station.
Having passed all-item tests conducted by Shandong Institute for Product Quality Inspection High-voltage Test Laboratory(Chiping), the transformer's key energy-saving indicators have reduced by nearly 60% compared to the standard values for Class 1 energy efficiency products of the same type specified in China's latest national energy efficiency standard GB 20052-2024 "Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for Power Transformers". Compared with conventional transformers of the same category (per GB/T6451-2008), it achieves over 80% reduction in no-load loss and more than 16% reduction in load loss. The annual electricity savings from no-load loss alone reach 69,800 kWh, and at a 75% load factor (with cosφ=1), the transformer's annual electricity savings amount to 103,500 kWh.

This product provides strong technical support and demonstration leadership for the quality improvement, efficiency enhancement, and green low-carbon development of electrified railways. It also serves as an important reference for technological progress in the railway electrical industry, effectively facilitating the low-carbon transition of electrified railways.
Looking ahead, Gaojing will continue to align with the national "dual carbon" goals and write a new chapter in the field of advanced energy-saving transformers.
